July 12th Psalms 146-150
These chapters remind me of the end of the fireworks show. The brightest, the best, coming at you fast and furious. You know it's about to end and just when you think it can't get any better, another flury of praise flows forth.
"Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob" What a great line. Can you think of anyone else you'd want on your team for a group project??
"He strengthens the bars of your gates" Great imagery to advance the idea of God in every detail of my life. When I look out my windows and see those bars, I remember God.
"He gives snow like wool" Praise God for the 51 inches of wool we got last April!! Right?!
Numerous times it says "The Lord takes PLEASURE in his people: he adorns the humble with salvation"
"Let the godly...sing for joy on their beds"
As a drummer you gotta love "Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud crashing cymbals." CAN I GET AN AMEN!!
"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." What a good ending...so it shall be...
LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD!!
